Need To Know THis Week

ADAA 600 Shoot & Ribbon Day this Saturday
The Auckland District Archery Association’s 600 shoot is on at MGAC this Saturday at 1pm. It’s free to join and is focused on supporting novice and intermediate archers to grow in skill and meet archers from other clubs.

The shoot is 90 arrows at 30m, starting with a 122cm face. Once you’ve achieved 600 points at that target size, the following month you move to a smaller face. Come along for a fun afternoon. More info here.

World Archery Oceania Continental Qualifying Tournament (CQT)
This weekend Auckland Archery Club is hosting the CQT tournament which will see archers from Palau, Samoa, Fiji, Tonga and New Zealand compete for Oceania’s Olympic recurve quota places for individual men and women. The winners of the event will take a quota place back to their national associations.

Good luck to MGAC’s Nuala Edmundson (pictured) who is representing New Zealand, along with Ben McLean, Julia Harrison, Shaun Ryan, and Finn Matheson.

Spectators are welcome – check out the programme on Facebook here.

Indoor Range – parking
The Waitakere Badminton Club, which is upstairs from our indoor range, is hosting a large tournament from 15-17 March.

Parking will be in very short supply so if you’re heading there to shoot, be prepared to park further away.
