Interclub Shoot this Saturday
The Archery NZ monthly Interclub Challenge is on this Saturday at our outdoor range – join in! No need to register and no cost – you just need an adult member to sign off your score.
The round is a modified Canadian 900 (90 arrows at 3 distances, the longest being 55/45/35 meters). Any age and any bow type can take part, but you do need to be comfortable shooting the distances – see all the distances and rules here.

Tertiary League
This weekend, a group of young adults will be shooting the Term One round of the new Tertiary League. If you would like to join in, the group will be shooting this on Sunday 24th at 1pm at the outdoor range. You don’t have to sign up anywhere, just turn up on the day. If you are unsure if you qualify, 1) check the rules here on the Archery NZ website or the UTSNZ website, and 2) turn up anyway! Jan Lees is leading this group. Term One closes off on April 14th.
World Archery Oceania Continental Qualifying Tournament (CQT)
Congratulations to MGAC’s Nuala Edmundson who won the women’s ranking round and matchplay at the international CQT tournament last weekend. This World Archery Oceania tournament, hosted at Auckland Archery Club, saw archers from Palau, Samoa, Fiji, Tonga, and New Zealand compete for Oceania’s Olympic recurve quota places for individual men and women. Ben McLean, from Auckland Archery Club and regular MGAC visitor, won the men’s division. Congratulations to all members of the New Zealand team who represented our country so admirably.
