MGAC Indoor Team

NEED TO KNOW

Our Field Club Champs are on Saturday 23 September at Whitford Archery Club.  Open to all MGAC members, this is a great opportunity to give Field archery a go – even if it’s your first time. See attached flyer for all the details and register here

Renewal emails for our new membership year have now been sent to all current members. Check your inbox for the automated email (look for the subject line “Your membership is expiring soon for Mountain Green Archery Club”) and renew today!

It was an outstanding Indoor Nationals in Palmerston North last weekend with Mountain Green awarded the Archery NZ League Champions Shield, the result of the monthly interclub challenge.

And, a whopping 26 MGAC archers won medals at the tournament! Congratulations to all competitors and winners, and a huge thanks to our members who judged, DOS’ed, and coached. See the full list of Mountain Green medal winners.

Field Coaching

We’ve had a very kind offer from member Angela Churchill-Azor for anyone who wants to learn about Field archery before our Field Champs on 23 September.  Angela is offering a free coaching session on 3 September at Massey Archery Club and can take up to 6 archers. As the silver medallist in the open compound division of the Pacific Regional Archery Championships, Angela is very well qualified to share her extensive knowledge. If you’re interested please email her on angelawchurchill@gmail.com.

At The Club This week

Sat 26 August, 1pm Club Shoot, brought to you by keyholder John Halpin-Witt.

Sun 27 August, Youth line, at 9am.
No MAGS/College line as most archers will be competing at the Winter AIM tournament at Auckland Archery Club – good luck to you all!
