Triple Record for Ashley Zu!
A huge congratulations to Ashley Zu, who broke not one but three records during her incredible performance at the Oceania Cup 2025. Her focus, consistency, and determination truly shone through on the international stage.

“On Friday at the Oceania Cup, in her first ever 720 competition at 50 m, Ashley shot a 470 (she normally shoots 20m in U14), beating the current U21 New Zealand record of 363. An amazing achievement, especially in hot and windy conditions.
Then on Saturday, she followed it up with a startling 594, not only the highest Barebow score of the Cup, but also setting new U18, U21, and Open Women’s Records. Absolutely amazing! This score is also the second-highest Barebow 720 of the year across both male and female archers.
On the day, I just couldn’t use the word AMESOME enough about her performance.”

Huge congrats to Ashley, Jacob, Kelly, and Kerry for their medal wins, and a big shoutout to Nick, who pushed a 3-time Olympian right to the edge in the quarter finals. Incredible effort!

ADAA 600 & Swap Meet | 16th November
MGAC is excited to host the ADAA 600 shoot on Sunday 16th November at the outdoor range.
Alongside this we will hold a Swap Meet, have a spring clean and sell all your unwanted archery gear or get a bargain!!!
Mikey Fraser-House | Trans Tasman Challenge 2025
A huge thank you from Mikey to the MGAC Committee for supporting his journey to the Trans Tasman Challenge in Christchurch.
“It was such an awesome and unforgettable experience. I learned a lot about staying focused under pressure and was super proud to wear the New Zealand Silver Fern. The atmosphere was incredible, especially during the Team Matchplay one arrow shoot-offs. I’ll never forget it. This experience has inspired me to train even harder and go after bigger goals.”
