Need To Know This Week

Working Bee THIS SATURDAY

It’s time to roll up your sleeves and BEE part of giving back to your archery club at this Saturday’s Working Bee.

Please come and lend a hand on Saturday 9 November from 10.30 – 2pm. There’s lots of jobs for helpers of all abilities – repairing targets, tidying the clubroom, and general maintenance.

If you have tools – impact driver, spanner, bits, alan keys – bring them along. If you don’t just bring your enthusiasm! There’s lots of jobs that don’t need tools.

Many hands will make light work – we look forward to seeing you there.

It’s Interclub on Sunday

Don’t miss this Sunday’s Interclub round, with first arrows at 2pm.

Open to all archers of all ages, Interclub is postal competition between clubs across the motu. The shoot is a modified Candian 900 (3 distances, 90 arrows). The top 9 scores will form the MGAC team’s scores submitted to Archery NZ to go up against clubs from all around Aotearoa.  More info – including distances – is on the Archery NZ website here. Come along, it’s a fun shoot, a great way to meet other members, and there’s lollies….

Door not working at the indoor range? Give it a shove!

The indoor range door can swell on a hot sunny day which means it’s hard to open. If you put in your code and the door doesn’t open immediately, check the bolt has slid open, and then give the door a hard shove (a shoulder can help!).

Christchurch Archery Club needs your help

Our friends at Christchurch Archery Club are in the process of seeking local board approval for the renewal of their lease at Rawhiti Domain. If you have shot at this beautiful club and would like to support them in their lease application by making a submission, the club would be most grateful. The form to make a submission is here.
