Need To Know This Week

It’s Achievement Round on Saturday

This is an ideal opportunity for those who have completed their Gold Arrow in BAP, or are comfortable shooting at 40m or more. It’s 12 ends of 6 arrows each, starting at your closest comfortable distance. Once you’ve met the achievement score (see below), you can progress to the next distance the following month. Free ribbons to members who meet the score, and it’s also a great way to meet other members!

Distances shot:  40m, 50m, 60m, 70m, 80m, 90m
Target Face: Barebow/Longbow/Recurve 122cm | Compound 80cm
Achievement Scores: Barebow/Longbow 400 | Recurve 500 | Compound 600

Our FB Messenger groups are no more

All the MGAC messenger groups have now closed down as we have moved to a WhatsApp community for all our club communications. We encourage all members to join the groups related to the indoor range, outdoor range, and the general discussion groups.   See emails for instructions.

If you have questions or feedback, contact the Committee at info@mgac.org.nz or refer to our IT Manager, Kelly

Archery NZ Outdoor League

The Archery NZ Outdoor League is now underway. It’s a 15 week league, where you shoot 36 arrows, at a 30m distance, on an 80cm face. You can shoot it any time during the week – you just need another member to verify your scoresheet. There’s no cost, but you do need to register – go to Archery OSA for all the details and to sign up.

Reminder: Evenings on the Maunga

We’re now two tournaments in to our five week Evening on the Maunga series. Thank you to our wonderful crew of helpers who are chipping in for the set up and pack down. If you can lend a hand please come along!

The next events are 4 December, 11 December and the last event on 18 December. These events are pretty much sold out so the range will not be available for casual shooting from 3pm until close on these Wednesdays.
