Welcome to 2023.  I hope you all had a fantastic holiday and wish you health and prosperity for 2023.  I have been watching along from afar over the summer and have been very impressed with the fantastic results at the Outdoor Nationals.  Well done to all who took part and once again showed fantastic club spirit.

  • Wednesday College Sport Practice: 4-5pmIf you are at secondary school – and you are interested – the term one competition will begin on Wednesday February 15th.Practises for any Mountain Green archer will begin this Wednesday. Please arrive no later than 3.45pm. Shooting will begin at 4pm, and should be finished by around 5pm.  You will be getting used to the heat at that time of day, shooting four to a target and using double scoresheets. Please make sure you have sunscreen, a suitable hat and a water bottle.

Sunday Youth and MAGS lines

The MGAC Youth and MAGS lines will resume on Sun 12 Feb

Achievement Round – Sat 28 Jan

Open to all club members.  Run by Richard Scheib. It is an incentive for Novice and Intermediate archers to grow in skill, practice shooting at further distances, and meet other members of the club. If you are comfortable shooting at 30m and want to push out to 40m+ come along and give it a go and earn you MGAC Ribbons!!

BAP Program – Sat 4 Feb

Available to all club members (youth and senior).  Run by Geoff Sauvarin.  Based on the World Archery Beginners Awards Program (BAP) – to progress archers from the White Arrow (Beginner course award) through the rest of the WA Arrows (Black, Blue, Red, Gold Arrows).  Each Arrow has a skill / technique component along with a scoring requirement at advancing distances from 10m to 30m.

ADAA Target Champs – 28 & 29 Jan

The annual Auckland District Target Champs are being hosted by Auckland Archery Club this year on 28 & 29 Jan.

Calling all Youth Archers – Youth North Island Champs are being held in Tauranga on 4&5 Feb.  This is a fantastic opportunity to experience a competition format with your peer youth archers.
