Youth Programmes Starting Sunday!
Reminder that our three youth programmes are starting for 2026 this Sunday 15th February! If you are a youth archer, or a parent of a youth archer, please check your emails to find out which programme you have been asked to attend. The Kopukapuka programme begins at 8:45am, the Kowhai programme begins at 10:45am, and the Waiporoporo programme begins at 12:45pm.
Field Practice Opportunity
We held a successful Field Club Champs at the Field of Dreams tournament last Sunday. Thanks to Fleur and her team for organising an awesome event, and to Whitford Forrest Archers for hosting us! Congratulations to all of our members who competed.
Following this, Whitford are offering a weekly WA Field Practice opportunity, starting Sunday 1st March! WA Field target faces will be set up on the Unmarked Range, and for just $10, MGAC members can head along for a practice, in advance of the National Field Championships this Easter. Gates are open 9am-12pm!
If you are keen on field archery, check out the selection information from Archery New Zealand for the 2026 World Archery Field Championships in Yankton, USA. This event will be held from the 22nd to the 27th of September 2026, and requires selection by Archery NZ. If you are interested, check out the information and submit your expression of interest form. Any questions email fleur@mgac.org.nz – Fleur attended the previous 2024 World Archery Field Championships as NZ team manager and knows everything you need to know!
