Need to know this week

New sign-in system coming

We are introducing a new electronic sign-in system, EVA Check-in, at our indoor and outdoor ranges to improve safety, efficiency and overall experience.  With EVA Check-in you will be able to sign-in by scanning a QR code with your smartphone at either of our ranges, or use the kiosk tablet for at our indoor range.  If you have visited our indoor range recently you will have seen and used the kiosk we have been trialling.

Look out for a email coming soon to run you through all the details of EVA Check-in (in the meantime, please continue using the sign in book at the outdoor range).

Used target blocks (danage) for sale – RESCHEDULED

Our danage block sale is now on Sunday 22 June (after being rained off last weekend) at 9am.

If you’ve volunteered at a recent MGAC working bee, or you help out via our maintenance group, you qualify to purchase a block of our used danage. There are 11 blocks for sale at $10 each (limit of one block per member).  Come along Sunday 23 June, 9am, first come first served ONLY to those who have volunteered (please be honest!). Look for James Bishop.

Tertiary League Term 2 Round

The Tertiary League Term 2 round needs to be shot by Sunday 29th June.

The MGAC Young Adults are going to shoot it this Sunday at 1pm if anyone wants to join.

New coaches shirts

Our coaches now have smart new coaching shirts which they will wear when running our regular MGAC coaching programmes (Beginners, BAP, Youth, MAGS, Young Adults). These shirts will help archers easily identify our coaches as being part of our club. They will be given to coaches when they complete their coaching certifications run by Archery New Zealand and register as a coach with the club.  There is a triangles design as shown in this photo, and a plain sage green tshirt also.

Huge thanks to Fleur Maggs for managing the design and production of our coaching shirts, and our whole uniform range.

Can you help at the ADAA Indoor Champs?

MGAC will be hosting the Auckland District Archery Association Indoor Champs at our indoor range in Massey on 9 and 10 August. Before entries open we’re looking for some MGAC helpers who can help organise this tournament. If you’ve never helped with a tournament before, this is a nice easy one to start on! Please talk to any member of the committee, or email secretary@mgac.org.nzif you’re interested.
