Learning opportunities aplenty!
Are you interested in learning how to coach, extending your coaching skills, becoming a judge or a DoS, or upskilling on the Drug Free Sport rules? Autumn is a great opportunity to do some learning to build your archery toolkit.
Coaching training
Foundation Coaching (for those who haven’t coached before, must be over 16 years): 2 June, 9am – 4pm at Auckland Archery Club. ($10 for Archery NZ members, $30 for non members)
Development Training (for those who have completed Foundation Coaching, must be over 18 years): 9 June, 9am – 4pm at Auckland Archery Club. (Participants must be Archery NZ members, $30)

Seminars on becoming a DoS or Judge
This training includes online seminars via zoom in May and in-person training at Christchurch Archery Club in June. Check out Archery OSA for more information and to register.
Drug Free Sport NZ online seminar
DFSNZ is hosting an online seminar on understanding the therapeutic use exemption process, 16 May at 7pm. If you compete (or want to compete) at a national or international level, it is strongly recommended you attend this free seminar.

At The Club This Week
Saturday 11 May
9am – 10.30am Beginner course (5 lanes)
1pm-3pm* Club Shoot brought to you by keyholder Alan Flynn
* Note the range closes at the end of the club shoot unless another keyholder arrives
Sunday 12 May
9 – 10.30am Youth Line (up to 11 lanes) – there will be lanes available alongside for casual shooting
11 – 12.30 MAGS Line (up to 11 lanes) – there will be lanes available alongside for casual shooting
1 – 2.30pm Young Adults Development Group (up to 3 lanes)

There’s not a great deal on over the winter season, but keep an eye on Archery OSA for Archery NZ target tournaments, and NZFAA (NZ Field Archery Association) for Field events.
