Need To Know This Week
It’s BAP on Saturday
BAP is our monthly opportunity for archers of all abilities to learn the steps in World Archery’s Beginner Award Programme. Can you earn your next badge? Come along for coaching and a chance to practice with others. BAP enables you to work towards your White Arrow, Black Arrow, Blue Arrow, Red Arrow, and Gold Arrow. Be set up and ready to go on the range by 10.45am.
A hikoi around Ōwairakathis Saturday
On Saturday, guides from Ngāti Whātua Ōrākei will guide a hikoi around Ōwairaka, sharing pūrakau/stories about the Maunga, finishing with an art activity and shared kai. This will be a lovely opportunity to learn more about the Maunga. If you’d like to join in, register here.
If you’re shooting on Saturday, be aware there may be people around who are unfamiliar with the range. Please take care, be kind, and be patient.
Lost property
There’s lots of lost property in the clubroom, which you can view via our Facebook page here. Anything not collected by 10 March will be donated to charity.
Clout Club Champs this Sunday
The Clout Club Champs is on Sunday 3 March at Rutherford College. This will be a great opportunity to practice clout for anyone shooting it at the Nationals, and for any archer of any experience to join in. It’s pretty much the only time archers are allowed to shoot arrows into the air, so give it a go! Details and registration here.
