Need to Know This Week
Achievement Round on Saturday
It’s Achievement Round this Saturday – an ideal opportunity for those who have completed their Gold Arrow in BAP, or are comfortable shooting at 40m or more. It’s 12 ends of 6 arrows each, starting at your closest comfortable distance. Once you’ve met the achievement score (see below), you can progress to the next distance the following month. Free ribbons to members who meet the score, and it’s also a great way to meet other members!
Distances shot: 40m, 50m, 60m, 70m, 80m, 90m
Target Face: Barebow/Longbow/Recurve 122cm | Compound 80cm
Achievement Scores: Barebow/Longbow 400 | Recurve 500 | Compound 600
Face shot-out? Throw it out!
Do you find yourself shuffling through used target faces before you find one you want? If you don’t want to shoot it, no one else will either!
If your target is more hole than face, or if lines between scoring zones are missing, don’t put it back in the pile.
Please take home shot out target faces and put in your home rubbish or recycling bin.
New sign-in system is here
We are introducing a new electronic sign-in system, EVA Check-in, at our indoor and outdoor ranges to improve safety, efficiency and overall experience. With EVA Check-in you will be able to sign-in by scanning a QR code with your smartphone at either of our ranges, or use the kiosk tablet for at our indoor range. If you have visited our indoor range recently you will have seen and used the kiosk we have been trialling. QR codes are now in place at both ranges – feel free to start trialling it. We’ll get an email out to everyone with full instructions later this week.
AGM – Saturday 19 July
Last week we sent out the details for our club AGM on Saturday 19 July, 1pm at the Fickling Centre in Three Kings. You can view the agenda here.
Several committee members will be standing down at the AGM, which creates opportunity for other members.
These roles include:
– Chairperson
– Secretary
– Club Captain
– Committee members
If you’d like to learn more about any of these roles, please chat to any current committee member.
We would like our members to attend the AGM so there will be no club shoot and no shooting at either of our ranges while the AGM is on.
