AGM Update
Thank you to all our members who turned up and voted at our AGM this Sunday. This is the key event on our club calendar each year; without it, we cannot function as a club.
We were able to present a detailed annual report, including a thorough update on our relocation efforts (thanks, David!), as well as our annual financial reports (thanks, Kate!).
All outgoing committee members stood again for re-election and were successfully elected – your 2026-2027 committee members are Bevan, David, Kate, Kelly, Geoff, Nuala, and Tom.
The committee also awarded three inaugural service awards to some of our outstanding volunteers; Clive Hudson, Jan Lees, and Kelly Atkinson. These details will be uploaded to our website within the next few days (if they are not there already). The committee is incredibly grateful to these, and all, volunteers for their continued service to the club.
URGENT Volunteer BADGER needed!
The Badger is still seeking a substitute to attend Indoor Nationals in August and carry out some exciting badgering duties! Anyone who is going to the event is fully equipped to take on this role – yes, you!Are you heading down to Palmy for the event, and will have some free time on the Sunday morning and after the prizegiving? Please email Fleur at pinsandbadges@archery.org.nz to find out more. She will be super grateful!

The Youth Starmaker 2026 is being hosted at MGAC on the weekend of August 29-30. There will be no casual shooting this weekend, but if you are a youth archer capable of shooting your tournament distance, enter here!
Want to volunteer? We are still seeking a couple more people to help out on Sunday for the matchplay rounds. Email nuala@mgac.org.nz (or reply to this email) if you are keen to help out. There are also some pre-comp tasks we could use your help with – e.g. folding target faces, putting scoresheets on scoreboards, etc. If you are keen to get involved, this is a great + easy way to get started!
