Need to know this week

Have your say in the running of our club
Several key committee roles will become free from our AGM on 19 July – this is a great opportunity for some fresh new faces to get involved in decision making and the running of our club (and you don’t need to be a cat).

Read more about all the committee roles: President, Secretary, Treasurer, Club Captain, and general committee members.

AGM – come along or send in your proxy
Our club AGM is Saturday 19 July, 1pm at the Fickling Centre in Three Kings (senior citizens room). You can view the agenda here.  Please come along to hear what your commitee has done on your behalf this year, catch up with other members, and shape the future of the club by voting for the next year’s committee.  There’ll be sausage/vege rolls and slices to tempt your taste buds. Also, both ranges will be clsoed for shooting for the duration of the AGM.

If you can’t make it, you can ask someone you trust to vote on your behalf. To do that, please submit this proxy form before 6pm on Friday 18 July (fill out one form for each Senior, Junior (16+) and Non-shooting member).

Congratulations MGAC Trans Tasman reps!
Fifteen of the 37 youth archers selected to represent NZ in the Trans Tasman Challenge are from MGAC – huge congratulations to you all! See the full list of the MGAC team members on our Facebook post here.

This bi-annual Challenge will be taking place in Christchurch in September this year – we wish our archers the very best of luck.

Last chance to buy used danage
If you’d like some used danage (target butt block) for at home practice, your last chance to pick some up is this Sunday at 8.30am. $10 per block, first in first served. See James Bishop at the range.

MGAC is now on Instagram – follow and get involved!
We’re thrilled to announce our club is now on Instagram! Our new profile @mgac_nz will celebrate our club spirit, share event highlights, and showcase the amazing people that make MGAC special. Follow us, like and share our posts, and tag us in your archery adventures to help grow awareness.
We’re also launching a Member Spotlight series soon – keep an eye out for the sign-up form if you’d like to be featured. Whether you’re a seasoned archer or new to the sport, this is a great way to connect and promote archery in Aotearoa and beyond!
Huge thank you to member Tina Shepherd – our new social media lead – for getting this going.
