Our future is in your hands – review the new draft Constitution

Our committee and friends have worked very hard to update our Club Constitution in preparation for re-registering under the Incorporated Societies Act 2022. It’s ready for your feedback.

Please read the draft Constitution here.

We’ve also written a short explainer that highlights what’s new and reasoning. Read the explainer here.

Provide your feedback:

We need your input to be sure this Constitution reflects how you want the club to make decisions.

Putting the Constitution in place requires two Special General Meetings – see below.

Huge thanks to the members who have drafted and provided early feedback on this important document: Andrew Fong, Bevan Weir, Geoff Sauvarin, John Deck, and Kelly Atkinson.

Special General Meetings

Please attend these Special General Meetings to vote on adoption of the new Constitution:

Friday 6 February (Waitangi Day) – after the Hutton Memorial Shoot at the outdoor range

Saturday 21 February – after the club shoot at the outdoor range – note this is also an Interclub Challenge shoot day

Passing the Constitution needs as many members as possible to turn up and vote.

Interclub Challenge dates for January and February

The Interclub Challenge is a shoot for everyone! All MGAC members can join in with the shoot anytime on these dates. We need a minimum of 9 members on each date to make sure our teams are up for the challenge.

Join anytime on:

  • Monday 26 January
  • Saturday 21 February (our SGM #2 date – there will be goodies!)

Score with another member – on paper (leave in the clubroom) or on your own app (email your scoresheet to Kelly). Chat in the Interclub Challenge group in WhatsApp.

Field of Dreams: our MGAC Club Field Championships

We’re hosting the Field of Dreams tournament on Sunday 8 February with Whitford Forrest Archers. This will also be our Club Field Championships! Please register on ArcheryOSA and come along. This is an event for everyone, even if you have not done a field shoot in the past. Click the button for essential info about the event.

Indoor Range Access – Reminder

When visiting the indoor range, please make sure you use the code you received in your most recent membership email. Old codes (from past years) no longer work!
There are no NEW codes; please use the code sent to you by email with your membership.
