DESCRIPTION:The Auckland District Archery Association is proud to present the Target Season Opening day for Auckland 2022. \nHosted by Shore Archery Club\, this is a chance for all archers in the district to get together and welcome in the summer archery season. \nThe shoot will be a Canadian 900 and Short Canadian 900 so that all clubs can have the chance to pit their best teams against each other for the start of the outdoor Postal League for Archery NZ. \nThis is a free event for all archers in the district to come along\, meet and greet each other and start the season with a fun event. \nSchedule: \n9.30am Welcome and First Arrow \n10am (approx) start shooting \n12.30pm (approx) BBQ lunch \nCanadian 900: 30 arrows at 55\, 45\, 35m; 122cm target for recurve/barebow; 80cm target for compound \nShort Canadian 900: 30 arrows at 45\, 35\, 25m; 122cm target for recurve/barebow/novice; 80cm target for compound

DESCRIPTION:The 600 shoot is free to join\, starts at 1pm\, with shooting commencing no later than 1.30pm. \nRibbons can be only be claimed by any archer who is a member of an ADAA club. Pins are available for purchase for $2.50 per pin. \nThe shoot is 90 arrows at 30 metres. All archers begin on a 122cm target face. Once an archer has shot 600 points or greater on that target face\, the next shoot they must drop their target face size to 80cm\, then 60cm\, then 40cm. Archers who proceed beyond this point may opt to shoot a 20cm spot.
